Our milestones
Future members gathered to build a shared understanding of cooperative principles, responsibilities, and the foundation that would become BECC.

Learning together before registration—an early step toward a member-centered, accountable, and sustainable cooperative.
Milestone 02 · Dedication and Assembly
The launch of BECC joined two deeply personal celebrations: Founder Marcelo Ochia's birthday and another anniversary of BreadBite Bakeshop—the enterprise from which this cooperative vision grew.

A birthday honors a life. An anniversary honors a journey. The launch of BECC transformed both into a promise: that years of work, faith, and shared experience would open new opportunities for employees, members, families, and the generations still to come.
Surrounded by the people who helped build BreadBite, Founder Marcelo Ochia marked the beginning of BECC with his children—the next generation entrusted to carry forward the family's entrepreneurial values and vision. BECC itself moves ahead as a member-centered cooperative, strengthened by shared purpose, responsible leadership, and continuity across generations.
Milestone 03 · Civic Leadership
BECC joined the Bacolod City Cooperative Development Council Executive and Committees' Meeting and Oath Taking for Calendar Years 2026–2028 at the SP Session Hall in Barangay Villamonte.

An oath is spoken in a moment, but honored through every decision that follows. Here, cooperative leaders did not simply accept positions—they accepted the responsibility to serve with integrity, listen with humility, and carry the trust of their communities.
With the oath administered by Bacolod City Mayor Hon. Greg G. Gasataya, this gathering affirmed the city's support for cooperative leadership and community-centered development. For BECC, it marked a meaningful step beyond registration: joining a wider family of cooperatives, learning from fellow leaders, and embracing a shared duty to help build a more inclusive, resilient, and hopeful Bacolod.
